Availability of a trained contact centre workforce
In preparation for your arrival, the Angus Call Centre Initiative has carried out a joint project sponsored by Angus Council, JobCentre Plus and industry body Talking Tayside to compile a local register of people keen and available for contact centre work. This register, along with further research undertaken by the group, clearly demonstrates that the labour market can easily sustain contact centres in Brechin and Arbroath. And of course, both locations offer the added benefit of a soft Scottish accent favoured by many contact centre operators and their customers.
At their newly completed community wing, housing over 500 computers, Angus College currently offer the professionally recognised PDA call centre qualification. All 8,500 students enrolled at the college have their own e-mail account, which can be accessed at any of the college facilities.
